A Kick sub costs $4.99 a month and the streamer keeps 95% of it, about $4.74 per sub. That is Kick’s advertised 95/5 split, against the 50% Twitch pays a standard Affiliate or Partner. Gifted subs are priced the same and pay out the same. Set a sub count below to see what a channel earns.
Kick subs
| Amount | Fan pays | Kick keeps | Creator gets |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 sub | $4.99 | $0.25 | $4.74 |
| 10 subs | $49.90 | $2.50 | $47.41 |
| 100 subs | $499.00 | $24.95 | $474.05 |
| 1,000 subs | $4,990 | $249.50 | $4,740.50 |
Standard split. Kick advertises a 95/5 split on subscriptions ($4.99; some receipts show $5.00). Weekly payouts, $10 minimum. Rates checked 1 Nov 2026.
How much is a Kick sub?
Kick has a single sub tier. The list price is $4.99 on the web and Kick describes it as a flat price in every supported country, with no local pricing; some help pages and receipts show it as $5.00, and buying inside the iOS app can cost more because the App Store fee is added, with $6.49 reported in the US. A sub unlocks the channel’s sub badge and emotes and lasts one month, renewing until cancelled.
How much do Kick streamers make per sub?
Kick’s split is 95% to the streamer and 5% to Kick, and Kick has said the 5% covers payment processing. On a $4.99 sub that is $4.74 to the streamer; on $5.00 it is $4.75. There are no tiers or Plus-style programmes to qualify for, so the figure is the same for a brand-new Affiliate and a top Partner. The same 95% applies to KICKs, Kick’s tipping currency.
Kick gifted subs
Gifted subs on Kick work like Twitch’s: a viewer pays the sub price and another viewer gets one month of sub perks. The gifter pays $4.99 per gift, the streamer receives 95%, and the gift does not renew. Kick’s gifting menu offers bundles up to 100 at a time, so 100 gifted subs costs the gifter $499 and puts about $474 in the streamer’s balance.
Kick vs Twitch per sub
| Kick (95%) | Twitch standard (50%) | Twitch Plus Level 2 (70%) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sub price | $4.99 | $5.99 (Tier 1, US web) | $5.99 (Tier 1, US web) |
| Streamer per sub | $4.74 | $3.00 | $4.19 |
| 10 subs | $47.41 | $29.95 | $41.93 |
| 100 subs | $474.05 | $299.50 | $419.30 |
| 1,000 subs | $4,740.50 | $2,995.00 | $4,193.00 |
Twitch’s Tier 1 sub costs the fan $1 more ($5.99 on the US web since July 2024), yet a Kick streamer needs only about 63 subs to match what 100 Twitch subs pay at 50%. The trade-off is audience size: Twitch’s viewer base is several times larger, so the per-sub advantage only matters once a channel can actually attract subscribers on Kick. The Twitch sub calculator models the Twitch side in detail.
Kick Affiliate and the Kick Creator Program
Subscriptions are only enabled for Kick Affiliates and Partners. Affiliate is the low bar: Kick’s help pages have put it at 75 followers and 5 hours streamed, after which subs and gifted subs switch on. The Kick Creator Program (also called the Partner Program) is a separate, invitation-based deal that pays an hourly rate for streaming on top of subs; Kick does not publish the rate and treats it as confidential. The 30-day benchmarks Kick has published for consideration include 100 average concurrent viewers, 50 hours streamed, 25 direct subs, 500 unique chatters and 1,500 followers.
Payouts
Kick pays through Stripe. Streamers complete Stripe identity verification and link a bank account in their own name; payouts run monthly by default, with weekly payouts available to verified creators. Kick’s terms of service say a payment is only made in months where the balance is at least $10, with smaller balances rolling forward. The 95% is before income tax and before any currency conversion Stripe applies. For how Kick’s fee sits next to TikTok, YouTube and the subscription platforms, see the platform fee comparison.
